Flowers

The flowers in all three churches in the Parish of St. Thomas of Canterbury are arranged by volunteers.

In the heart of Holy Rosary, St. John’s and St. Joseph’s churches, amidst the sacred symbols and the hushed atmosphere, lies a simple yet profound beauty: the flowers. These vibrant, fragrant blooms adorn our altar and side altars, adding a touch of nature's grace to our spiritual home.

Looking after the flowers is more than just a task; it's a ministry. It's an opportunity to express our love for God through the beauty of creation. As we tend to the plants, we are reminded of the delicate balance of life and the importance of nurturing growth.

The flowers serve as a symbol of hope, renewal, and the resurrection. They remind us of the promise of eternal life and the enduring beauty of God's love. When we see the flowers blooming, we are filled with joy and gratitude.

The churches are specially decorated at Christmas, Easter and First Communion days.

Any parishioner wishing to help with the flower arranging in any church would be most welcome. Please contact Fr Adrian who will put you in touch with the team.
